About Dr. Jyoti Sharma

Dr. Jyoti Sharma, PhD, MBA, MSc (Psych.), RN, is the General Manager of Nursing at Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad (1036 Beds, NABH/NABL/NEC), recognized as a nursing leader, patient and nurse safety advocate, and quality strategist. She holds a Ph.D. in Nursing, an MBA in Health Services, an M.Sc Nursing (Gold Medalist, 1st Rank), a Diploma in Yoga & Naturopathy, and certifications in ACLS/BLS, Leadership from IIM, and Diabetes Education. With over a decade of experience in direct patient care and nursing education, and an additional 10+ years in nursing leadership and hospital administration, she has served in multi-specialty hospitals including Medanta, Fortis, Narayana, CK Birla, Bombay Hospital, and Yashoda Hospitals. Dr. Sharma has expertise in nursing governance, accreditation, patient safety, quality indicators, workforce leadership, and P&L management. She has been honored with several prestigious awards including the Distinguished Nurse Award by ANBAI, the Organizational Florence Nightingale Excellence Award, AHPI Leadership Award (2025), and AHPI Infection Control Practices Award (2024), and has received leadership recognition from ANEI, CAHOCON, NABH, NEC, and patient safety transformation initiatives. A prolific contributor to nursing knowledge, she has published over 30 indexed articles on patient safety, nursing leadership, CLABSI, CAUTI, falls, mental health, quality models, social issues, and women empowerment. She has also presented at more than 25 national and international conferences, serving as faculty, panelist, and chairperson at forums including NURSICON, INS, ANEICON, CAHOCON, EOLC, Critical Care Conclave, ANBAI, and Skillathons, and maintains an active voice in global nursing excellence and innovation platforms.
