President, Infection Control Academy and Honorary Professor at University of Hyderabad , Infection Control Academy of India (IFCAI)
Dr Ranga Reddy Burri is a physician turned public-health specialist, educatorand social entrepreneur with a strong focus on infection prevention andcontrol (IPC) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). He holds an MD in medicine(Minsk), a postgraduate diploma in public health management (Pondicherry)and has pursued executive education in global health, one-health andmanagement.
He is the President of the Infection Control Academy of India (IFCAI) where heleads the creation of capacity-building programmes for IPC professionals inIndia and other low-resource settings.
Parallel to this, he serves as an Honorary Professor at the University ofHyderabad’s School of Medical Sciences and as an Adjunct Professor at thePublic Health Foundation of India (PHFI).
Through his work he has pioneered India’s first postgraduate diploma inInfection Prevention & Control, developed e-learning modules for IPC, andtrained over 10,000 healthcare workers in infection prevention practices.
Dr Burri blends clinical medicine, public health policy, education andentrepreneurial leadership to strengthen infection control and patient-safetyframeworks across India and beyond.
