About Dr. Sharan Patil

Dr. Sharan Shivraj Patil is the Chairman and Chief OrthopaedicSurgeon of SPARSH Group of Hospitals, a leading healthcarenetwork in Karnataka, India. He founded SPARSH in 2006 with a visionto provide world-class orthopaedic care, and the organization has sincegrown to include multiple hospitals across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities,employing over 2,200 healthcare professionals. Dr. Patil has performedover 15,000 surgeries, including more than 7,500 joint replacements,and has been recognized as one of the top joint replacement surgeonsin Bangalore. He is also known for his philanthropic efforts through theSPARSH Foundation, which has conducted free surgeries for childrenwith complex disabilities, retired teachers, and police personnel.Notably, he led the team that performed the pioneering surgery onLakshmi Tatma, an ischiopagus conjoined twin with eight limbs, earningaccolades from the Prime Minister of India. Dr. Patil's contributions tohealthcare have been recognized with awards such as the KarnatakaRajyotsava Award and features in Forbes magazine.
