About Dr. Yagna Unmesh Shukla

Dr. Yagna Unmesh Shukla, PhD (MPT – Musculoskeletal), servesas Principal of the Government Physiotherapy College & SpineInstitute, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and is currently theChairperson of India’s National Commission for Allied &Healthcare Professions (NCAHP). Her expertise centers onphysiotherapy for musculoskeletal disorders — pain management,rehabilitation of joints (like knee & TMJ), ergonomics, andtechniques to improve mobility and quality of life. She has authoredover 50 publications, has been recognized with awards such as theIAP Fellowship, and plays a key role in shaping allied healthcurricula in India under the “One Nation, One Curriculum”initiative. ​
