About Mr. Rizwan Koita

Mr. Rizwan Koita is an entrepreneur, technologist, and philanthropistcurrently serving as the Chairperson of the National AccreditationBoard for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), responsiblefor setting quality and patient-safety standards across Indianhealthcare. He co-founded CitiusTech in 2005, growing it into one ofIndia’s leading health-tech companies and the country’s firsthealthcare technology unicorn. Earlier, he co-founded TransWorks,which later became part of Concentrix, and worked with McKinsey &Company as a management consultant. He holds a Bachelor’sdegree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay and a Master’sin Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from MIT. He alsoheads the Koita Foundation, which focuses on digital health,capacity building, and innovation in healthcare. Since taking over asNABH Chairperson in 2024, he has emphasized expandingaccreditation to small- and mid-sized healthcare facilities, enhancingpatient safety, and promoting digital health initiatives.​
