Som Mittal is the Chairman of the Patients for Patient Safety Foundation (PFPSF) and a distinguished industry leader known for his strong advocacy for patient rights, transparency, and safety in healthcare. With an engineering degree from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, he brings over four decades of leadership experience across the IT, automotive, and healthcare sectors. He is the former President and Chairman of NASSCOM and has held senior roles at Wipro, Digital, Compaq, and Hewlett-Packard. He serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Apollo Hospitals and contributes to multiple corporate and non-profit boards. Through PFPSF, he drives a national movement empowering patients and caregivers to reduce medical harm and strengthen a culture of openness, learning, and accountability within the healthcare system.
