About Mr. Suraj Sujathan

Suraj Sujathan is Co-Founder of EPOQUE Consulting and a senior healthcare and hospitality leader with over two decades of experience across India, the Middle East, and Africa. He began his career in hospitality, building strong foundations in large-scale operations, service excellence, cost discipline, and multi-site execution—capabilities that shaped his transition into healthcare and inform his distinctive operational perspective.

Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at SIMS Hospital (SRM Institutes for Medical Sciences), Chennai, and has held senior leadership roles with Apollo Hospitals, Columbia Asia Hospitals, and Equi Health Care. 
Across his career, he has led organisations from greenfield setup to scale and sustained performance, with responsibility for financial outcomes and accreditation across JCI, NABH, and ISO standards. His cross-industry experience enables him to translate strategy into consistent execution while balancing clinical priorities, operational efficiency, and patient experience during periods of growth, transition, and organisational reset.
