Ms Irina Papieva is a Technical Officer in the Patient Safety Flagshipinitiative at World Health Organization (WHO) Headquarters in Geneva.She holds a medical degree and went on to earn a Master of Public Health(MPH) in 2005 from American University of Armenia, after initial medicalstudies in Armenia. Her professional journey includes postings inArmenia, India and Switzerland, where she has contributed significantly topandemic preparedness, health-system strengthening and the globalagenda on patient safety and quality of care. At WHO, she is involved inguiding policy and operational frameworks aimed at ensuring saferhealthcare delivery worldwide, aligning with the global movement to treatpatient safety as a core component of health-systems.
