About Ms. Pinaki Bayan

Ms. Pinaki Bayan, Chief Nursing Officer at Apollo International and Apollo Excelcare Hospital, Guwahati, Assam, is a highly accomplished nursing leader with an expansive career spanning major clinical, administrative, academic, and regulatory roles in India and the Middle East. She has previously served as Nursing Head at NH Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Assam; Professor and Principal at SMCON, Down Town University; Health Regulation Specialist with the Dubai Health Authority; Clinical Auditor at the Government of Dubai; and Nurse Educator and Nurse Manager at Al-Wasl Hospital, Dubai. She began her leadership journey as Nursing Superintendent at GNRC Hospital, Assam. Ms. Bayan holds an MSc in Child Health Nursing from MAHE (2001), a Diploma in Critical Care Nursing from CMC Vellore (1994), an MBA in Healthcare Services from Manipal University (2009), and is licensed as an NCLEX-RN under the California Board (2007). She also earned a Fellowship in Evidenced-Based Practice from the Indo American Academy at Johns Hopkins University (2025) and is certified as an NABH Assessor under QCI. Her distinguished career is marked by numerous awards, including the Award of Merit in General Proficiency from CMC Vellore, Best Outgoing Postgraduate Student at MAHE, Best Team Member Award for the Dubai Government Excellence Program, the Chairman’s Award for Distinguished Nursing Services at Narayana Health, the Nursing Leadership Award for Critical Care Integration and Transformation at Apollo Enterprise (2022), the Nursing Award for Special Contribution at Apollo Hospital Group (2024), and the Young Leader Award from Apollo Hospital Group (2025). Ms. Bayan has contributed extensively to nursing research, with more than 20 international publications. Her recent work includes a 2025 JCDR publication on risk factors for diarrhoea among critically ill ICU patients, and she serves as Editor for CCEM, an online journal. As an NABH Assessor for SHCO and HCO standards, she is a sought-after resource for healthcare organizations nationwide. She initiated the first ‘Nurse-Led Clinic’ at Apollo Hospital and continues to advance innovations in clinical research, critical care nursing, and digital health transformation. With her deep commitment to professional excellence, evidence-based practice, and nursing leadership, Ms. Pinaki Bayan remains an influential figure shaping the future of nursing and healthcare delivery in India.
