About PROF.Dr.A.Jayasudha

Dr. Jayasudha A is an accomplished nursing academician, administrator, and researcher with over 30 years of progressive experience across teaching, clinical practice, research, international collaborations, and institutional leadership. With expertise in Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing and Bioethics, she has significantly contributed to advancing nursing education and evidence-based practice globally. She has served 13 years as Principal in leading nursing institutions and has international experience across Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the UAE. Her leadership strengths include curriculum planning, faculty development, quality management, research capacity building, simulation-based learning, and digital health innovation. She is recognized for mentoring postgraduate and doctoral scholars, coordinating international academic partnerships, and leading institutional policy reforms.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: She currently serves as Professor & Principal, Apollo College of Nursing, Hyderabad (2024–present), where she drives academic excellence and research strengthening.

As Principal & Professor at PSG College of Nursing, Coimbatore (2017–2024), she led major academic reforms, initiated international partnerships, improved research output, and expanded simulation-based training.Her global academic exposure includes her tenure as Associate Professor, University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia (2012–2017) and earlier roles as Principal, Professor, Senior Clinical Teacher, and Charge Nurse in India, Oman, and the UAE.

RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS & SCHOLARSHIP : Dr. Jayasudha has 70+ publications in Scopus, PubMed, and UGC-CARE indexed journals, spanning maternal health, women’s health, neonatal care, mental health, public health, research methodology, AI in healthcare, and simulation-based learning. She authored the Log Book for B.Sc Nursing (2025) and is currently developing a major textbook in midwifery.

She led two funded research projects, supervised 50+ postgraduate dissertations, evaluated 22 PhD theses, and successfully guided one PhD scholar (2025). She is part of a major international research consortium exploring nursing students’ attitudes toward AI across 11 countries.

INVITED TALKS & ACADEMIC CONTRIBUTIONS : She has delivered 60+ keynote talks internationally in Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and India. Her expertise is widely sought for topics such as AI in healthcare, digital nursing transformation, midwifery advancements, women’s health, and research methodology.
