Lt Col Anita Rai is a seasoned nursing leader and critical care specialist currently serving as GD Matron with specialization in Critical Care Nursing at MH Secunderabad. She was commissioned into the Military Nursing Service in 2006 after completing her Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from Command Hospital (CC), Lucknow, and later enhanced her clinical expertise with a Post Basic Diploma in Critical Care Nursing from Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi, in 2024. Over nearly two decades of distinguished service, she has worked across various Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) hospitals in both peace stations and counter-insurgency operational areas, with extensive hands-on experience in critical care units and ICUs. Lt Col Rai has consistently excelled in military professional courses and has demonstrated a strong inclination toward education and research. She is an AHA-certified BLS and ACLS provider and an active member of the National Quality Assurance Standards (NGQAS) team at MH Secunderabad. Widely recognized for her clinical acumen, she is regarded as an acclaimed critical care nurse and has been a speaker at several national and international conferences conducted across AFMS hospitals. She has also contributed to institutional research initiatives at MH Secunderabad.
