Colonel Kiron Jeet is a distinguished military Nursing professional with extensive experience in healthcare training, administration, and research. She began her Nursing career at the College of Nursing, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, and was commissioned into service on June 20, 1991. Currently, she serves as the Joint Director of the Military Nursing Service (Training & Health Services) at Headquarters, Western Command, Chandimandir, a role she assumed on August 12, 2022. Over the years, she has held key appointments, including that of Deputy Principal Matron at Military Hospital Ambala.
Her professional qualifications include a BSc in Nursing, specialized training in Critical Care Nursing, a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Management, and an MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy. Additionally, she has obtained certifications in Office Automation, Quality Assurance from the American Heart Association (AHA), and the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) Assessors Course. Recognized for her dedication and excellence, she has received numerous accolades, including the Best Bedside Nurse Award (1991), the GOC-in-C Commendation (1999 & 2011), the DGAFMS Appreciation (2019 & 2022), and the GOC-in-C (Western Command) Appreciation (2020).
Colonel Kiron Jeet has made significant contributions to medical research, publishing in esteemed journals such as the Medical Journal of Armed Forces India (2004), the International Journal of Science & Healthcare Research (2023), and the International Journal of Community Medicine and Public Health (2024). She has also presented research papers at various national forums and has been a member of the International Committee of Military Medicine since 2018. Her literary contributions include editorial roles in key publications such as the Brigs MNS Work Study Conference Compendium (2015 & 2016), the Military Nursing Service Newsletter (2017 & 2018), and the coffee table book Healing Hands & Caring Hearts (2018). She also led the compilation of AGRIYA - Western Command Year of the Nurse & Midwife (2020) and authored Uniform in MNS: Over the Years (2024), along with contributing to the Nursing Management & Administration Course (2024).
