Dr. Manoj K. Semwal is a highly accomplished Medical Physicist and Radiological Safety Officer with over 30 years of professional experience in radiation physics, radiological safety, and advanced radiotherapy technologies. Having trained at esteemed institutions such as the University of Pittsburgh, USA, Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney, and ICTP, Trieste, he has gained extensive expertise in modern radiotherapy technology, physics, and clinical practice.
His research interests span radiation dosimetry, radiation safety, radiation biology, and treatment planning in radiotherapy and radiosurgery, with over 40 research papers published in leading national and international journals. He serves as a PhD supervisor/co-supervisor for research scholars at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, AIIMS New Delhi, Amity University, Delhi, and Sharda University, Delhi, and is a DNB co-supervisor for Radiation Oncology and Neurosurgery residents at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Semwal has mentored MD/DNB residents in Radiation Oncology and Radiology, as well as BSc students in Radiotherapy Technology.
He has contributed to UGC/IGNOU televised lectures for postgraduate Radiology/Radiotherapy residents and has also served as a content writer and presenter for ePGPathshala (UGC), with his lectures available on its official platform. Actively involved in professional societies, he is the President of the Association of Medical Physicists of India (AMPI) for the 2024-2027 term, a life member of AMPI and the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), and a founding member of the College of Medical Physics of India (CMPI).
