Nursing from Victoria College of Nursing, Bangalore, and a Ph.D. in Nursing from Vinayaka Mission University, Salem. Also, she did her Nursing Administration and Critical Care Internship at Mayo Clinic, USA

Previously she worked as a Principal Consultant in Nursing Management and Training at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore - (2001 – 2015), worked as a Nursing Head at Multi-speciality and Cardiac sciences - at Manipal Heart Foundation, Bangalore – (1997 – 2001), worked as Deputy Nursing Superintendent at Cantonment Polyclinic and Hospital, Bangalore - (1990 – 1997) worked as Nursing in charge at Virupaksha Hospital, Bangalore – (1987 – 1989) worked as Nursing in charge at Dhar Al Shifa Hospital, Kuwait – (1980 – 1985 ) & worked as Operation Theatre In charge at CMC & Hospital, Vellore – (1977 – 1980)

She is the Primary Author of Publication in American Journal of Nursing – Pressure Ulcer Management & also - Publication in American Journal of Nursing – Pressure Ulcer Management She has published many articles in Indian journals
Dr Rohini was instrumental in starting many Hospitals and Cardiac Centres for Narayana Health. Achieved great progress in nursing retention. Identified and implemented various methods in nursing mobilization and placement. Maintained various plans to keep up the nurse-to-patient ratio, as per norms. Created Nursing Standard Operating Procedures for various units such as ICU, OR, Ward, BMTU, Chemo care, etc. Worked towards and acquired JCI and NABH accreditation in more than 50 audits (pre-, final & reaccreditation). Developing and running the Nursing Education and Excellence Program, Narayana Health, Videos on Nursing procedures, PPT reflecting the videos, 10 points evaluation checklist, Procedure chart to authenticate the completion of the program
Initiated the Care Companion Program, implemented in various units, Training for the family and the patient before discharge. Developed the Critical Care Assistant program curriculum and ran the program since 2001. Developed the additional skill training program for the CCA in the Operating Room. Achieved great heights in creating simulations labs, Increased nursing skills, Increased nursing confidence in patient care, Reduced error, and increased patient safety. Introduced the new concept of Modified Nursing care plan and reached the first level of achievement. Created new teaching modules in a simple way for the nurses to teach the patient, Warfarin teaching, serology-positive patient care at home, etc. Brought Pressure ulcers in cardiac surgery patients to almost nil with many studies and implementation processes, Narayana Cardiac Sciences. Instrumental in creating the Cardio-Thoracic Post Diploma Nursing curriculum. Developed the one-year internal certification program CTVN. Started Nursing College and School for Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore. Instrumental in bringing the INC - Nurse Practitioner Program – Critical Care to India, in 2017. Created Core Competency related to all the nursing care areas as a full-fledged Training module for the nursing department, Narayana Health, across India.
