Ms. K. Bhagya Lakshmi, Nursing Superintendent at KIMS Hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, and a certified NABH Assessor, is a healthcare leader with over 18 years of experience in critical care nursing, clinical operations, quality management, and hospital administration. She has previously served as Assistant Nursing Superintendent at Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills, and has held roles such as Nursing Quality Coordinator, In-charge Nurse, Intensive Care Nurse, and committee member for Nursing Recruitment, Digitalization (Apollo Group), and Nursing Audit teams. She holds a Master’s in Hospital Management from Apollo Institute of Hospital Management (2018–2020), a Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree from SVS College of Nursing (2012–2014), and a General Nursing & Midwifery qualification from Apollo School of Nursing (2004–2007). Her awards include the Best Idea Award (IPSG-1 Error Prevention) from Apollo Hospitals (2020), the Best Performance Award – ICU from Apollo Health City (2012), and she has served as Chairperson at the 24th DNACON and 20th DNNA Annual Conference. She has been a speaker at ISCCM STEP-N on monitoring critically ill patients, a panelist at G-SPARC 2024, and a CAHOCON 2025 Best Practices Award finalist, and has served as an external examiner for MBA(HHCM) students. She has also presented two nursing audits at DATACON, both selected in the Top 10 presentations. Ms. Lakshmi has published four research articles in the International Journal of Science & Healthcare Research, covering hypoglycemia prevention in diabetic patients, the impact of CLABSI maintenance bundle training, nursing knowledge on preventing PICC occlusion, and compliance with aseptic care bundles; she has also published and presented an SSI research paper at G-SPARC. She is recognized for her contributions as a certified NABH Assessor, her involvement in five JCI accreditation cycles, and her leadership in clinical governance, digital transformation, and evidence-based practice. She is an active mentor for nursing leadership development and training programs, and is known for strengthening hospital-wide patient safety culture, documentation standards, and operational excellence.
