About Ms. Sunita Mitchel Domingo

Ms. Sunita Mitchel Domingo, Director of Nursing for the Telangana Region at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, is an accomplished nursing leader with extensive experience across premier healthcare institutions. She has previously served in several prestigious roles, including General Manager – Nursing at Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road; Chief Nursing Officer for multiple Aster CMI and Aster RV Hospitals in Bangalore; Chief of Nursing Services at Whitefield–Columbia Asia Hospital; and Chief of Nursing at Columbia Asia Hospital, Hebbal. She holds an MSc in Medical-Surgical Nursing with a specialization in Cardiology and a Post Diploma Bachelor of Science in Nursing from KNN College of Nursing, Bangalore. Ms. Domingo has been widely recognized for her contributions, receiving accolades such as the “Biggest Cheerleader” award in the Voices of Care Campaign (2024) by BD, Best Faculty in First Step Matters – Mastering the Pre-Analytical Phase in Laboratory Medicine (2024), and Best Faculty at the Apollo Telangana Regional Critical Care & Infection Control Conclave (2024). Her research interests span critical and emergency care topics, with studies published on Dilated Cardiomyopathy, tracheostomy timing in neurosurgical patients, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for airlifted COVID-19 cases, and nurse competencies in identifying deep vein thrombosis among post-operative patients. She is also an active member of the Karnataka Nursing Council, the Karnataka Chapter of the Association of Nurse Executives of India, and the Infusion Nursing Society of India, contributing to the advancement of nursing practice, leadership, and professional excellence.
