Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw

Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways, Communications, and Electronics & Information Technology, is a distinguished leader with a blend of administrative and technical expertise. A former IAS officer of the 1994 batch, he holds a gold medal in Electronics and Communications Engineering, an M.Tech from IIT Kanpur, and an MBA from the Wharton School. Known for his transformative leadership, he has spearheaded significant projects like the Vande Bharat Express, 5G rollout in record time, and the Digital India initiatives. Recently, he was instrumental in the successful implementation of the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) and BharatNet Phase-II. Recognized for his contributions, he was awarded the prestigious "Digital Transformation Leader of the Year" in 2024. His visionary approach continues to drive India’s progress in technology and infrastructure.
