Anupriya Patel, born on April 28, 1981, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, is an Indian politician and social worker. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, and an MBA from Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University.
Patel began her political journey as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Rohaniya constituency in Varanasi in 2012. In 2014, she was elected to the Lok Sabha representing Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, and has been re-elected since. She has held significant positions, including Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare (2016-2019) and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry (2021-2024). In June 2024, she took charge as the Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
As the National President of Apna Dal (Soneylal), Patel continues to influence Indian politics, focusing on healthcare and commerce sectors.
