With 20 years of experience in clinical expertise and infection control, Ujwala Rajkumar Pal is a recognized leader in Operating Room (OR) and Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) practices. As the Head Clinical Specialist at 3M India Ltd, she plays a pivotal role in advancing patient safety, quality assurance, and best practices in infection prevention across healthcare institutions in India.
Academically, she holds an MBA in Marketing & Leadership (NMIMS, 2020-21), a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research (Quality Assurance & Audits, 2008), and certifications in Infection Control (AIMS, Cochin, 2011) and NABH Internal Auditing (Quality Council of India, 2012).
Her contributions to nursing and infection control standards are extensive. She is a Founder and General Council Member of Infusion Nurses Society (INS) India & AORN India and has played a key role in developing Indian guidelines for infusion standards, skin injury prevention (SAMYOG), and CSSD quality improvement (ACE QIP with CAHO). She has also led the implementation of WHO QIP for Implant Loads & Loaner Sets in nine hospitals across India (2024).
A published researcher, Ujwala has co-authored a randomized clinical study on preventing local skin complications in PICC lines, which was recognized in the INS USA 2021 Guidelines. She has also authored two international journal publications (WCET & WOCN) and collaborated on award-winning hospital projects, including Tata Memorial Hospital's first-prize-winning project on PICC Line BSI prevention at the INS USA Conference (2013).
