Michael Capriotti is Vice President of Integrated Care Management at Virtua, the largest health system in Southern New Jersey. In his role, Capriotti partners with two clinical leaders of the team to determine the vision, strategy and tactical plans for care coordination across Virtua’s entire continuum. He is responsible for the strategic development of Virtua’s navigation program as well as overseeing Virtua’s Access Navigation Center, centralized scheduling /registration, hospital operators as well as surgical scheduling.
Capriotti has more than 15 years health care experience and was instrumental in developing the concept for Virtua’s Access Center and its Personal Health Navigation Service. While in development, Capriotti served as the Green Belt and process owner for the Navigation Design for Six Sigma project. Capriotti has spoken nationally on the topic including the New Jersey and Delaware Valley Times HIMSS Conference as well as the International Gartner Symposium IT XPO.
Capriotti has been affiliated with Virtua since 2001. Prior to his responsibilities with the Access Center, he worked as Virtua’s Director of Marketing Communications where he oversaw the strategic marketing for Virtua’s programs of excellence. While with marketing, he won several national awards for his marketing plans and creative work.
Prior to joining Virtua, Capriotti was part of a trade association management firm where he provided public relations and crisis communications for several large trade associations including the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association consisting of some of the country’s largest baby product manufacturers.
Capriotti received a BA in Communications/Public Relations from Rowan University as well as an MBA from St. Joseph’s University – Erivan K. Haub School of Business.
