Prof Parag Singhal is a practising Endocrinologist at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Foundation Trust He finished his Diabetes and Endocrinology training from Newcastle upon Tyne where he completed his widely acknowledged and cited research on Hepatic Glucose Production. This paved the way for newer treatments for Type 2 diabetes. He is now a visiting Professor at Universty of South Wales, U.K. and Honorary Professor of Medicine at Bolton University U.K. Parag was recently appointed as Academic Advisor to American Universty of Antigua. He is now leading the Bapio Training Academy is his role as Chief Executive. He led the development of niche Indo U.K. training programmes to create health professionals prepared to face the challenges of 21st century. He is a member of South West BMA council and South West Clinical Senate, an apex advisory body for the South West of England. Parag continues to be work as Specialist Advisor to CQC. Finally he has been an MRCP examiner since 2005. Having been in the illustrious list of top 50 doctors of U.K. in 2021, he once again has the distinction of being in the list of top 50 clinicians of U.K. in 2023.
