Dr B.K. Rana is the CEO of Quality & Accreditation Institute (QAI) and former Director & CEO-In-charge of NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers), Quality Council of India.
He has many honours to his credit, including appointment as President of the Asian Society for Quality in Healthcare (ASQua), member of the Technical Committee of Ayurveda Training Accreditation Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and International Consultant and Expert for the WHO, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, USAID, ISQua and UNFCCC.
He is also the Founding Member of the International Academy of Quality & Safety (IAQS), Scientific Advisory Board, and the International Alliance of Patients’ Organisations (IAPO).
He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Diploma in German and a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management. He has steered the development of numerous accreditation standards globally and is credited for establishing India’s healthcare accreditation system with international benchmarks through leading NABH and QAI standards.
