A medical graduate having post-graduate qualifications in Family Medicine, Health Systems Management and Industrial Medicine. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences.
His illustrious career in the Indian Air Force includes a successful tenure with the Ministry of External Affairs in Oman, where he was honoured for his excellence, selfless service and dedication to the service by the His Majesty Sultan of Oman. He also served as a WHO consultant to support the Government of Maldives in formalising frameworks for Patient Safety and health quality.
Dr J. N. Srivastava anchored the formation of the Indian Society of Hospital Waste Management in 2000. Post voluntary retirement from the Indian Airforce, he has been striving to bring advancements into the healthcare systems.
