Dr. Narottam Puri completed his MBBS in 1968 from University of Delhi, as a topper in Eye and ENT. He then pursued his master’s degree in otorhinolaryngology (ENT) from University of Delhi & a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons. Dr Puri has spent over 5 decades in healthcare as a teacher, clinical practitioner and healthcare administrator. He has experience in government service, not-for-profit, Corporate and entrepreneurial aspects of healthcare with expertise in healthcare strategy, healthcare quality and safety as well as health insurance. He also serves on the Board of Lords Education & Health Society (LEHS)& on the Governing Board of NABH. He is also Co-founder of Centre for Design and Innovation & is actively involved in design thinking propagation in India. He has been an Advisor for Healthcare with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)for more than 12 years and is currently advising FICCI’s Health Services and Medical Value Travel Committees. He is an active member of JURY, FICCI’s National Awards in Healthcare. Dr Puri is a pioneer in the field of Healthcare Quality and Patient safety. He has been recognized for his unstinted, long service to Healthcare Quality and to QCI and NABH. He is also a renowned Sports Broadcaster and Telecaster, with over 49 years of experience in Print, Radio & TV sports journalism and was once dubbed “Encyclopedia of sports”.
