Dr. Nilesh Shah is a highly respected and multinational chain of diagnostic centers. Today he is managing a team of over 5000 employees across emerging markets in Asia, South Africa and Middle East.
A graduate in Microbiology, Dr Nilesh Shah also holds a doctorate. Armed with 35 years of rich experience in Diagnostics, Dr Nilesh has grown along with the company. Over the past 3 decades, he has successfully set up operations across countries. He has played a central role in building the scientific core of the company and has been responsible for bringing in various tests and technologies. Furthermore, he has strengthened and standardized the technical and non-technical functions in the company bringing it on par with a global organisation.
Dr Nilesh's in-depth technical acumen has led to Metropolis adding about 100+ new tests every year. Under his leadership, Metropolis has also launched multiple new technologies in a short span of time. With a penchant for quality, Dr Nilesh has been responsible for setting quality systems and protocols across the group. In addition, he has played a significant role in various acquisitions, mergers, large hospital laboratory management contracts and public private partnerships.
In the past 15 years, he has successfully headed other service/ verticals of Metropolis like Clinical Trials, Hospital Lab Management, Preventive Health Check-ups and Corporate & Wellness Solutions. Dr Nilesh has been instrumental in Metropolis Healthcare receiving national and international accreditations. Today Metropolis is accredited by global accreditations like CAP, ILAC, APLAC, 1S0-15189 and NABL.
An astute speaker, he has delivered over 200 presentations and talks across the globe. He has several publications to his credit. He has delivered more than 200 talks all through his career and has multiple publications to his credit.
