Major (Dr.) Sanjay Dalsania
Major (Dr) Sanjay Dalsania is currently working as Regional Quality Head at Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited. He is based in Ahmedabad at present and responsible for planning, implementation & coordinating “Continuous Quality Improvement & Patient Safety” program, assuring quality standards and accreditations at Western Region of Apollo Hospitals Group. Earlier, he has briefly worked at Thumbay Hospital Group in Dubai and helped the organization in achieving JCI and CAP accreditations.
Before moving into corporate healthcare, Dr. Sanjay had spent 05 years as Commissioned Officer with Indian Army Medical Corps (Ministry of Defence) and held many key medical & administrative positions at various military hospitals & field medical units.
Dr. Sanjay holds MBBS degree from Sardar Patel University; Certificate in Business Management (Armed Forces Program) from IIM, Calcutta; Certificate in Advance Project Management from Project Management Institute (PMI), USA; MBA in Healthcare Management from Sikkim Manipal University and PhD from Gujarat University. He is extensively trained in Accreditations & Healthcare Quality Systems, including Lean Six Sigma. He is on the panel of Apollo Group’s Clinical Quality & Accreditation Audit Team. A keen academician, he also serves as visiting faculty at various academic institutes like TISS Mumbai; KJ Somaiya Mumbai; NFSU Gandhinagar, Parul University, BK School of Management Studies, Ahmedabad; Apollo Medvarsity, Ahmedabad Management Association etc. He has authored/co-authored many research papers and publications on healthcare quality and patient safety. Dr. Sanjay has attended many seminars and workshops pertaining to his field and has delivered many talks on Healthcare Quality Improvement, Accreditations and Patient Safety. In recognition to his academic activities, Apollo Hospitals Education & Research Foundation honored him with Academic Achievement Award in 2021.
An adventure sports enthusiast, Dr. Sanjay is a qualified & trained mountaineer, skier and an ardent runner. He has keenly participated in a number of marathons, cyclothons and various mountaineering expeditions in India and abroad. Many military & civil accolades are in his credit.
